Cleo is my studio’s first Mother & Daughter Legacy Portrait Project STAR. What an amazing little girl she is and I was absolutely honoured to have her and her family trust in me to provide a memorable experience for Cleo’s birthday, and capture their Legacy Portraits.

Cleo had a beautiful day in the studio, celebrating her 8th Birthday with her Mother and Grandmother.

After a hair and makeup makeover for everyone, the pretty dresses came out, the lights went on and the camera started clicking.

The most enjoyable part for me facilitating this experience is watching as people start to relax, laugh and bond, as they take time out for themselves from the outside world. The part I love the most is when the girls start twirling around when they put their dress on and look in the mirror with wonder at how magical they are.

The portraits captured during this time are just beautiful and so valuable.

There is a buzz of positive energy that fills the space during the session that lasts well beyond when we finish.

It truly is a wonderful experience.

Portraits from this photoshoot will be displayed late 2022 at Bloom & Zoom’s Mother & Daughter Portrait Legacy Exhibition (public exhibition), alongside a heartfelt letter written to Cleo from her Mother.
